Most of the vegetables we grow are intended for—and grown in volumes suitable for—canning, pickling, or freezing. Depending upon the time of year and the crop rotations we are doing, we may also have radishes, carrots, green onions, snap peas, regular peas and slicing cucumbers (cucumbers are a bit of a thing for us).

A bold, but mildly spicy flavour that mellows when cooked. Red Russian has a long shelf life so you can get some in the late summer and still be using it in the early spring. 2nd place winner at the 2025 Saanich Fair.

Our #1 seller. We love pickles and hope you do too. Complement these with our garlic and dill to make amazing dill pickles. Discounts available for large orders.

We grow a variety of different slicing cucumbers such as Soyu Long (a Chinese heritage, burpless variety), Summer Dance (an almost spineless Japanese burpless variety), and others that we are always trialing.

Perfect for green salsas, sauces, and soups. Used in Mexican and Central American cooking. We are one of the few producers on the Southern Island that grows these in volume.

We love the smell of dill in the garden and all the lady bugs that it attracts. We time the planting so that the flower heads can be harvested at just the right time for your pickling needs.

These have a low water content and seed count that are perfect for making spaghetti sauce, pizza sauces, or salsas. Pair with our garlic to make dishes that will get rave reviews from your family and friends.

In 2025, we trialed Fresno Peppers as a field crop. We were not sure how well peppers would grow outside of a greenhouse, but we were delighted with the results and will continue in the coming seasons.

A good pumpkin pie or pumpkin cheesecake requires a good pie pumpkin and it is hard to beat the heirloom variety Small Sugar for this purpose. The flesh is consistent throughout and makes the best pies and cheesecakes.

These are harder to grow and are not as resilient as other varieties, but the quality and flavour of the berries are worth it—you won't be disappointed.
